St John's Community Centre is a welcoming, safe space in the heart of North Woolwich where anyone can drop in to connect, share a story, and feel at home.
Albert Road, London🤝 Find Support: Access our Foodbank & Food Club (Monday to Thursday, 10:30 am – 1:00 pm; £3 – proof of ID and address required, no registration fee). You can also speak to Catherine, our drop-in benefits advisor, every Tuesday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (no appointment needed).
☕ The Chatty Café & Safe Space: Open Monday to Thursday, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Pop in just for a warm space, a chat, and a cuppa—the water is always hot! Glynis and the volunteer team are always here if you need a listening ear (donations welcome).
🛍️ Bev's Boot Sale: Come find some affordable bargains in the garage at the side of the centre, open Monday to Wednesday from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm.
🎉 Get Active & Social: Join us throughout the week for scheduled, low-cost activities including Bingo, Line Dancing, Beginners Indoor Bowls, and the "Talk to Terry" Men's Group. (Check our calendar below for specific days and times!)
